A kittel is a white full-length robe. It is worn in the Synagogue on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kuppur. In many homes, it is worn on Seder night by the leader of the Seder. Where it is the custom, a groom wears a kittel for his chuppah - wedding ceremony. Often, this will be presented to him as a gift from the bride. Some men wear this for Kabbalat Shabbat at home, and still others are buried in their kittel if not their tallit.
Cotton and polyester.
